Bow before a car that can hit the million mile club on the original engine.
And sound like this:

Yes, but see, I don't like those .

As the title says, you're wrong.

But it's such a bor...
What, sorry? I fell asleep just thinking about the beigeness.

To be fair, the video is of a Cressida with a 1UZ swap, but yes the 1UZ is an amazing engine.
Here's my favorite: 1UZ with individual throttle bodies

you have the other million mile cars Ramblin. 400K aint shit

If so, I'm completely comfortable. It's the inverse of that liking something/don't want to be right thing - I don't want to like it and I have no inclination to do so.

Comment redacted.
Didn't follow the link to see that the Cressida has a 1UZ swap.
Man, I love that engine. haha

My 400k-currently-on-original-engine car *does* have a nonfunctioning turbo, of course, which blows. Or possibly doesn't.

Sorry I can't read by being blinded by this beigeness.
This site even had to dim this one down.

See, but at least those have character. The Lexus is just too... perfect in every aspect. Cars need faults, and that Lexus has nearly none.

I was just looking for a 1UZ exhaust clip, doesn't differ much from the LS400.

million mile club on the original engine.
Just like everything else you need, luck, persistence, and good maintenance.

The cars I have listed have about as much character as a Camry that doesn't run. That is one huge fault with this sight. The Panther is worshipped for the same reason the Camry is hated. They are all boring, except the fact that LS400's engine can be found in many racecars and is nearly as common of swap as the LS. LS400's even have a drift following. They aren't nearly as boring as they are given grief for.

Yes, but even then, some of the best known engines don't make it that far.

So what you're saying is you like the engine. And that alone makes it the better choice. Okay.
Frankly, I don't think the 1UZ is any better than the SBC or Modular Ford. Just Toyota's standard-issue V8 in the 90s.

that's because you ran out of one of those three. But yes some will do better, examples from Volvo, Mercedes, GM , and Toyota come to mind.

my runner up right after Caddy. I'll even admit these are better cars.
But nothing can top caddy in my book.

No. It is better because it is: faster, more reliable, more comfortable, more luxurious, handles better, it can be turned into a drift car, you can buy one for just as cheap as the other choices, and when you pull up somewhere, you won't get:"You drive a (Grandma rquis, Buick, Caprice, 90's Pontiac, Crown Vic complete with vomit scent, etc.)?"
![]() 01/13/2015 at 17:09 |

Its lighter than both and just as strong. It is also smooth as butter. Even with 4 cams it is about the size of a LS1 but a little wider, which means it fits in everything. It is a pretty good engine!
![]() 01/13/2015 at 17:12 |

This is also a car that was an S-Class/7-Series competitor. Making this an idiotic comparison, no shit it's going to be nicer than a Pontiac or Crown Vic.
And I don't know what makes you think driving a Lexus won't get you flack. They have literally been the epitome of beige since ever.

Clearly that has hurt their sales so much. And this whole thing was about used 90's land yachts, which this is, so it is very much relevant since it's in the same price bracket. It this car cost more, then yes, it would be irrelevant. In the current market it costs the same, so it's completely relevant.

not sure why anyone would take a panther over one.
![]() 01/13/2015 at 17:21 |

Because according to some, it is "more boring" than a Panther. Ok.
![]() 01/13/2015 at 17:22 |

haha, they are both automatic boats. Neither is really going to be much fun. At least with the lexus, you get more luxury and uber reliabilty.

And a better platform for handling mods, 155 mph stock top speed, and it looks more elegant.

One of the numerous times that Toyota made a better knockoff than the original.

yeah the 1uz is pretty sweet.
